Rare video game content in - Call of Duty: Black Ops - the limited prestige edition and Halo 3: ODST

In this age of gaming, special features and exlusive content for preorders and limited editions of games. There have been limited edition games released since the beginning of the gaming era. Limited editions of games are getting even more impressive and outrageous.

Preorder exclusive content is huge right now. You may recall the exclusive map only available on the Shaun White's snowboarding game bought from Target stores only. Ever since, stores such as GameStop and the game studios that create the game offer exclusive bonus content for preorders, limited editions, and bonuses for buying a game at a certain store.

Popular exlusive content was released with Halo Wars, which gave the preorderers exclusive early access to the mystic map pack on Bungies Halo 3. Exclusive content was also offerred for perordered Halo 3: ODST, which game gamers a private online beta for the upcoming game: Halo Reach. There have been numerous games that have had exclusive content, these games include Halo, Left4Dead, Army of Two, Uncharted, and many other games.

Now to the limited edition games. Limited edition games were designed to keep a games value for the future. Limited edition cases started out as just a fancy alternative case and disk image. The problem was that no one really cared about these limited edition cases. Game studios had to improve their limited edition games to win over their competition. Halo 3's legendary edition was released with a Master Chief helmet, which won over the true Halo fans. When Uncharted 2 was released, a rare special edition case was given to only a few people, which is already worth a couple thousand dollars. People who Pre ordered Halo Wars also got a rare "flame" painted warthog in-game, which was just for fun. When Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released, the prestige limited edition game came with real night vision goggles. Sure, this edition was over one hundred dollars, but some people might say it was worth it.

The creators of Call of Duty are at it again with another impressive gadget included in the prestige edition of their latest game, Call of Duty: Black Ops. That's right, they're topping the night vision goggles with an RC car! The RC car is actually a spy car! Thats right, the remote controlled car comes equipped with a hidden camera installed on the vehicle. The live feed is streamed to the LCD screen that is displayed on the controller for the car. Definitely not a disappointment! For only $149.99, i'd say its worth it!
