YouTube Announces 4k Resolution Support
YouTube announces 4096 X 3072 Resolution Support - 4k
At the VidCon conference 2010, YouTube announced support for videos shot in "4k." 4k is a modern reference for the resolution of 4096 X 3072. The online video sensation now supports resolutions as low as 360p and as high as 4096p. Google is taking a leap into the future with this stunning new feature. 4k resolutions are still considered new technologies, which is why the availability and affordability are extremely low. A small sum of humans currently have access to 4k camcorders, and 4k displays are hard to find and outrageously expensive. 4k videos will currently put a huge strain on your broadband connection, but you can pretend that you are actually viewing a video in 4k resolution. Like all new revolutionary technologies, 4k equipment is rare and very expensive. You can expect the prices of 4k gear to drop in the upcoming years, making videos even more stunning than 1080p!
Over the last few years, YouTube has continued to take off and dominate the internet. They first offered low HD support, slowly moving up to Full HD 1080p support. They are already prepared for the future with their 4k support. With features that allow you to choose the quality at which you view YouTube videos and allowing you to watch videos in fullscreen, Google is just getting started with preparing YouTube for the future.

Thats weird because 4k definitely does exists. And I do call it 1080i because there are so many different resolutions that simplifying the pixel value completely changes the quality of the image. Progressive is much better than interlaced when it comes to pixel frame rate, so did you mean 1080p instead? And the resolution is most definitely called 4k.. YouTube supports '4k' playback and '4k' projectors will begin appearing in movie theatre by the end of 2012.
You should learn what you're talking about before you try to prove someone wrong.

That's 3072p. You're probably one of those people who say 1080i when they mean 540i. Resolution is measured by the number of active horizontal lines. There is no such thing as 4K resolution.
